Join Girl Up club for a fun movie night featuring A League of Their Own. This classic films tells the story of a very special 1940’s baseball team. According to IMDB, “During World War II when all the men are fighting the war, most of the jobs that were left vacant because of their absence were filled in by women. The owners of the baseball teams, not wanting baseball to be dormant indefinitely, decide to form teams with women.” Admission is free, but snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit girls forced into child marriage and fleeing from unsafe situations in India.
