Angelia Robinson, Director

AngeliaAngelia Robinson has a BA degree in International Relations. In her capacity as program director with several non­profit organizations, she has trained activists, analyzed legislation, and lobbied Congress. Her work on environmental protection, nuclear disarmament, and human rights issues included travel across the US, Central America, and Europe. She also attended the U.N. Conference on Women in Beijing.

After moving to California, Angelia’s quartet of children inspired her to become an eclectic homeschooling mom. At the same time, she began an exploration of traditional crafts such as soap­-making, sewing, and fiber arts – all from a feminist perspective. Soon her hobby turned into profession as her knit and crochet designs have been featured in many publications including Vogue KnittingLove of Knitting and Interweave Crochet magazines.
 
In her classes, Angelia helps her students discover the time-­honored power of personal conviction, activism, and creativity in our modern world. She has extensive experience with students on the autism spectrum.
