Julie is a homeschooling mother of three and has been part of the homeschool community for over 17 years. She has experience homeschooling through both a Private School Affidavit and through the Homeschool Charter System. Her style is quite eclectic. At times she used a traditional or classical approach and other times chose a more outside the box, a la carte style. However, her family homeschool philosophy has always been child led - following their interests and passions.

Julie has been with UrbanHomeschoolers for four years. She started as a parent and community member. Currently, she manages billing, charter accounts, private tutoring services and the UHS music department. She teaches elementary and middle years art classes, elementary language arts and supervises the Social Action and Teens4Teens community service classes. Julie has been involved with Teens4Teens since its conception. What started as a small neighborhood holiday toy drive by her then 8 year old daughter, Lorelei, has now grown into the multifaceted organization it is today where she serves as Treasurer of the Board.
