Students listen to read aloud, learn reading comprehension and relevant vocabulary development for the in-class readings. In addition to in-class reading, students will pick out one book to read at home on their own (or with their grownups, or on audiobooks) for the whole semester that will culminate in a final book project. In-class books will be a range of fiction, poetry, and nonfiction; molding to the interests and leads of the students in the class.
