Learning a language is hard work, but it can also be fun! Being able to speak to and understand others in their language is vital to communication, as well as a wonderful way to learn about other people and their culture.

This class, designed for older elementary students, concentrates on oral communication and cultural exploration. Students work in class on mastering common conversational topics and other essentials (the alphabet, numbers, etc.), and work together in practicing these. We also learn about the parts of the world (including the US) where Spanish is spoken and explore some of these cultural and historical elements in individual and/or group projects. Field trips to local sites of interest are also a possibility.

Native Spanish speakers are welcome but may need additional resources to find the course appropriately challenging. Please speak with me so we can work together on an approach that works for everyone!
