complete opposite of traditional painting and drawing classes. Here students
unleash their imaginations and creativity with several “outside the box”
projects, none being your basic still life or landscape. Instead we use various
mediums, including collage, recycled materials, melted crayons, etc. to create

This is a workshop style class with a range of tools, materials, scripts and calligraphic exercises available from foundational on up. Students are encouraged to develop their own projects both within and outside the classroom and I hope to create a positive atmosphere for sharing and critiquing each other’s work. Our society has become over-reliant on experts and disposable gadgets. Fixing things conserves resources, builds confidence and saves money. We will learn to fix anything we can get our hands on with the help of some specialty tools and YouTube. There is a $25 materials fee.

This is a focused approach for kids that have had some improv or theater training and are ready to jump into games, scenes and eventually long-form improv games. This class is the next level of improv and results in a performance beyond just a moment at Open House. recording class teaches students the fundamentals of basic recording and
some advanced techniques. Everything from understanding basic signal flow, mic
technique, and getting proper levels to using plugin effects such as
compressors, EQs, reverbs, and delays as well as mixing and mastering and
outputting their music. A comprehensive course designed to give the student all
the basic working knowledge to record and process audio.

The advanced recording class builds on the fundamentals taught in Recording Studio, from understanding basic signal flow, mic technique, and getting proper levels to using plugin effects such as compressors, EQs, reverbs, and delays as well mixing and mastering and outputting their music. It is designed for serious students, who have built their basic skills and who have the focus and discipline to take on more challenge.

For students who have experience working with wood. Projects come from the student or plans. Projects can range from the practical (bookshelf) to the whimsical (giant wooden pocketknife) to the beautiful (walnut sculpture). Tuition includes a $30 materials fee.
