This is a class about many cultures. We study the different land forms and compare and contrast their incredible differences and similarities. Our goal is to learn about interesting geographical landmarks and how they reflect or effect the culture. We find the highest, largest, smallest, driest, wettest, and the most interesting things! We experience new places through arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, food, music, dance, and sports. We learn how to read and create maps using a key, compass rose, latitude and longitude, and related charts. The children can start in our classroom and expand out to the way they are seen from space.
